Relaunch a completed campaign

The best method is to duplicate (clone) the campaign and send a duplicated email (cloned) to this list by adding the decision Email {X} Read. In this way it will be possible to know what lead was targeted by what campaign and determine the performances of the two separate mailings. Note that it is possible to use the same email (without cloning it) in the second mailing. However the Sent/Open ratio will no longer offer the same precision since certain leads will be counted twice (in sent Sent and in Open).

Step 1. Duplicate (clone) the email used in the completed campaign

1. Select Content, click Email.

16. Email x must correspond to the relaunch email that you cloned, in our example French Email Support - Clone.

18. Click on the Details tab.

19. Click on Activate.

20. Click on Save.

To summarize, the process of this campaign will be the following.

A campaign cannot be deleted. You can only archive it. Just like archived emails and landing pages, it is possible to reactivate your campaign and reuse at a later date.

To archive a campaign, be it an automated campaign or a url tracking campaign:

1. Under campaigns, then Configuration, automated campaigns select the desired campaign.

2. Click Archive.

 TIPS

  • Duplicating an inactive campaign allows you to recreate the same campaign model as the one that is duplicated and to run it on the same lists. It is recommended to duplicate your campaign in order to perform tests before you activate the original one.
  • Whether it is an automated campaign or a url tracking campaign, you can duplicate these campaigns.
  • We recommend duplicating a campaign that you want to edit instead of trying to make changes on the campaign. For example, if you want to send your October newsletter using the September newsletter campaign, it is recommended to clone your September newsletter campaign and to make a new one from this clone for the October newsletter. This avoids confusion in your email mailing statistics.
  • It is impossible to add new automation activities on an active campaign. You should disable a campaign before making any correction whatsoever to avoid errors on current activities.
