Understanding how the automation tree works

How the automation tree works

When setting-up your campaign automation, you must integrate your activities and/or decisions in an automation tree.

This automation tree follows a chronological order and must be interpreted as a question asked to PUBLITRAC and answered by an activity.

Ex: Create an automated email campaign with the following parameters:

Wait until October 22, 2013 at 10:00, send the infolettre email to French speakers only, and then wait 10 days to send the TEST email once more to the people who left it unopened.

1.    In Activity, select the activity wait until (x) at (y), and drag it onto the top of the automation tree.
2.    In Decision, select in lead the decision lead field (x) contains (y). Drag the decision on the previously selected activity.
3.    On the Yes in the automation tree, select the activity: Send email (x).
4.    Next, select the activity: Wait for (x) day (s).
5.    What to do in (x) day (s)? The email has to be sent again. Go in activity and select: send email (x).

This is a standard model, however, you are free to create a more specific automation tree. It is done simply by following the same logic of question, answered by an activity.
