You can post a question on a Google My Business location page to start a conversation.
Click on ADD in order to create a new filterA QUESTION.
- Name your filter.
- Configure the filter conditions; you can configure your conditions on the review content or review rating.
- You can add or delete conditions with the - and + options completely at the right of the section.
- Conditions on rating are based on a scale of 0 to 5 within:
- Is not empty
- Is empty
- Between
- Is
- Greater than
- Greater than or equal
- Is included in
- Lower than
- Lower than or equal
- Is not
- Not in
- Conditions on reviews are:
- Is not empty
- Is empty
- Contains
- Does not contain
- Click on ADD and the filter is now created.
How to assign an existing filter to all your existing reviews
A new filter will automatically be applied to all new reviews being posted in your account. New reviews will be assigned a filter if the review respects the configured filter conditions. You can apply your filter to all reviews present in your account.
- From the list of filters and tags, to the right of the ADD button, click on the 3 dot menu.
- In this menu, click on the Apply to all reviews option.
- The system will now run all your filters on all reviews posted in your account, past and present. This process can take a few minutes to fully run. You will need to confirm that you do wish to perform this action.
How to create a tag
A tag is like a filter but has no conditions or specific critera to segment your reviews. It needs to be applied manually.
Click on ADD to create a new filter.
- Name your tag, same as for a filter.
- By clicking on the - , the condition will be deleted and the filter changed as a tag.
- Click on ADD to save your tag.
How to tag a review
In order to manually tag a review, you must first access the Answer Reviews section.
- Select the review for which you which you want to apply a tag.
- Click on Tag this review.
- A dropdown menu of the available tags will show. Select the tag of your choice.
- The selected tag is then applied to the review.
- You can also remove a tag from a review by clicking on the X () while doing a mouse over on the tag.
How to update a filter or tag
Click on the 3 dot menu and select Edit a filter/tag or double-click on the filter or tag to update.
- The filter or tag modification screen will appear and will work the exact same way as the filter or tag creation.
- Add or remove conditions is done through the - and + options completely at the right.
- You can once again migrate a filter as a tag by deleting all conditions or migrate a tag as a filter by adding conditions to it.
What is the difference between a filter and a tag?
Filters work with conditions and specific criteria to segment your reviews. They will automatically be assigned to all new reviews added on your locations pages and which correspond to the conditions within the filter.

- Select the location name for which you want to publish the question.
- Enter you question.
- Click on Save.
How to answer a question submitted by an user?
Users can post questions and answers to your local Google My Business pages. You can manage responses and the conversation.
- From the Questions and answers page, you will see the questions posted by users. Click on the questions available in your account.
- Select the question for which you wish to publish an answer.
- Click on Reply, write your answer and click on Answer.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: never use a URL in your answers. Google does not accept URLs in the answers and will block it from being published.
Add a notification for Questions left on your Google My Business pages
As a LOCALTRAC user, you can add a notification to be warned when a new question or answer is posted online.
- Click on the burger menu, top right of the page and select My profile
- In the Notification section, click on Add notification
- Select if you wish to receive by email or only by system alert. From the dropdown, select Questions.
- From the different options, select why you would want to receive a notification (New question, New answer, Updated question, Question deleted, Answer deleted, etc.) and click ADD.
