Highlight the birthday of your employees and/or customers and/or of a first purchase,... your campaign will be applied automatically on all new individuals which will be added to your list in the course of the year.

Step 1. Create a filtered list

      1. Click Leads, then Leads/Customers and select Management Leads/Customers.

3. Create a filtered list that could be named Birthday Campaign, for example.

4. Select the Birth Date attribute under Attributes Lead/Customer folder, and drag it to the left.

5. Select, from the drop-down menu, the option Month and date, so as to ignore the year of birth of your leads. The sending of the birthday card is effective on that same day.

 

Step 2. Create the automated campaign to send a personalized birthday email to your leads from this new filtered list.

     1. Click on the Campaigns menu and the sub-menu Configuration automated campaigns

2. Click on Add.

 

3. Name the campaign “Birthday card", for example.

4. Enter the category "Email"

5. Click on "Next"

6. Choose the Lists option.

 

 

The window below is displayed.

7. Select the list you want.

8. Click Next.

10. Drag the activity Send Email up to Start.

11. Select the email to send. Click OK.

12. Return to the Details tab.

TIPS

 

  • The addition of a new employee can be done via an import or a manual entry. The filtered list will recognize it automatically and add it to the mailings.

       1. On the Automation tab, start your decision tree by dragging the "lead field {x} equal {y}".
 

      2. Choose the field "Display language" equal "English". In this way, if a lead is English, he will receive an English email. If his language field is empty or indicates French, he will receive the French email. The reverse logic applies for a default French language.

 

 

      3. Click OK.

4. For the YES flow, if the lead’s language is English, we send the English birthday email. For the NO flow, if the lead’s language is French or the language field is blank, therefore unknown, we send the French email.

  • The addition of a new employee can be done via an import or a manual entry. The filtered list will recognize it automatically and add it to the mailings.

 


  • A  A birthday campaign must be re-created every year as the campaign automations do not allow to treat a same lead several times. For this to happen, de-activate the current campaign, clone it and rename for the current year (employee birthdays 2016-2017, for example). The campaign is on a filtered list so there is no need to change the list on which the campaign rolling.

  • Set up your birthday campaign in the two languages(EN and FR). First, choose what the default sending language will be. Let's go with the default English for our example.
