Answer templates for reviews
This article will show you how to create and use templated answers. Those templated answers will be available for you or your team when you wish to answer a review. Those templates can be available to all reviews or only for some reviews with filters assigned to them.
How to access the template creation/modification option
- From the left menu, open the Tools section.
- Access creation or modification of templates by the Templates list option.
How to create a templated answer
- Click on Add a template.
- Name your template.
- Write your answer in both French and English.
LOCALTRAC automatically detects the review language in order to publish your answer in the appropriate language. - Once answers are complete, click on ADD to save your template.
This template will be available to all users within your account.
- By default, templates are available for all reviews. it is however possible for you to apply your created filters to your templates making them only available for the reviews within those filters. Click on the Associated filter box.
- A dropdown menu with your available filters will show.
- Click on the filter you wish to associate to this template.
How to update you answer template
- Click on the 3 dot menu and select Edit or double-click on the template you wish to update.
- The Edit screen of your template will open and works the same way as the template creation.
How to create a template from an existing answer
- When in Answer Reviews, the interface allows to answer reviews for specific directories. You have the option to select a templated answer or manually write content in the answer box.
- If you manually write an answer, it is possible for you to save this answer as a new templated answer.
- Once the answer is written, click on the 3 dot menu on the right of Answer. Select the Save as template option.
- You will be redirected to the template creation page. The text for the answer is already written in the answer box, you must complete the template with the name and text translation.
How to answer reviews with your templated answers
- In Answer Reviews, the interface allows to answer reviews for specific directories. You have the option to select a templated answer or manually write content in the answer box.
- To answer a review or conversation, click on the 3 dot menu and select View and respond or double-click on the review.
- An answer box will appear.
- Click on the menu Add a template in order to use the available templates with the review criteria.
- The templated answer will display in the answer box based on the detected review language. You can modify or personalise your answer if need be.
- Once the answer is ready to post, click on Answer to publish online.
Language detection
LOCALTRAC automatically detects the review language in order to publish your answer in the appropriate language. If the review is only a rating without text, no language will be selected and the user can write the answer in the language of his choice.
When working with a templated answer and the user answers with both languages, the published answer will be in the language for which the location is configured.
